THE DARK ROOM

The Dark Room gallery will be open to the public 6pm-10pm Wednesdays, no appointment necessary.

Operated by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, the award-winning Dark Room at The Grandel is a premier live music and art venue. It features live performances and rotating photography exhibits that celebrate the sights and sounds of St. Louis. The venue offers a full-service bar for all shows and catering by Michele C. Catering for select events, with bookings and promotions managed by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. The Gallery at The Dark Room is a contemporary art space showcasing dynamic bodies of work by emerging and acclaimed photographers from St. Louis and beyond.

The Dark Room is also home to the Wednesday Night Jazz Jam—a free, family-friendly weekly event hosted by Bob Deboo that brings jazz within reach for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Jazz Jam takes place every Wednesday from 6-9 pm.

The Dark Room inside The Grandel is only open for select shows and programming.

Metered street parking exists in front of the main entrance, as well as secure garages in the surrounding blocks. The Grandel and The Dark Room are fully accessible and ADA-compliant. Accessible reserved parking and entrance (via ramp) are located on the direct west side of the building.
