LeFlore-Ituen, this powerful choreopoem masterfully weaves together selections from Shirley’s groundbreaking play Songs of River Magic—once performed at The Kennedy Center—and the debut of her never before performed children’s works that include the vibrant and Emo-shunz. With an electrifying original score by acclaimed Composer/Producer Alerica Anderson, featuring a reimagining of Tevin Campbell’s “Tomorrow (Better You, Better Me),” and dazzling choreography by Jordan McDaniel, the show pulses with rhythm and emotion, and energy.
