ARTIST STATEMENT

“The Anatomical Jewel” (2024) is an exhibition born from the struggles and expectations faced by women in modern society. This show transforms the mundane and painful into beautiful, bejeweled sculptures. It explores the balance between hard truths and taboo ways of healing for women, queer individuals, and others in a homogenous society. My work reflects the early awareness of my own body and its impact on the world, the uncomfortable experiences of being a woman, and the societal expectations that control us. My sculptures create a safe space, celebrating loudness and unapologetic expression. “The Anatomical Jewel” honors these journeys, celebrates authenticity, and aims to inspire a future where our voices are heard and our vulnerabilities are our strengths.
