To STL With Love is a landmark exhibition celebrating the deep roots and wide-ranging impact of hip-hop culture in St. Louis. Curated by Kris Blackmon,in collaboration with Kranzberg Arts Foundation it spotlights local DJs, MCs, dancers, graffiti artists, and media pioneers who helped shape the city’s unique hip-hop identity.

Through visual art, memorabilia, performances, and archival materials, the exhibition explores St. Louis’ creative legacy and fosters intergenerational dialogue. To STL With Love aims to inspire future talent, preserve regional history, and highlight the city’s continuing role in global hip-hop culture by collaborating with local artists,hip-hop scholars, and community partners.


Curator Biography

Kristian Blackmon is a passionate art and event curator who has dedicated her career to creating meaningful projects. Since 2012, she has produced exhibitions that highlight and celebrate Black culture and the Black experience, addressing social issues from community violence to Black joy. Her work, which she calls “a creative way to address issues plaguing our communities,” has provided a vital platform for Black artists to showcase and sell their work without restriction or censorship. Blackmon, who is also an organizer and activist, prides herself on being a support for artists and a source of inspiration for her community. Her journey is a testament to the resilience she has found through her creative expression, which she says has saved her life.
