Volunteer with Us at Music at the Intersection (MATI) 2025
Welcome to the official volunteer portal for Music at the Intersection 2025. Please read carefully. Whether you’re a community partner, college team, or returning supporter, this is your hub for sign-up, expectations, and orientation details.
Due to the nature of the festival, we do our best to accommodate each volunteer’s preferred role and shift; however, assignments may be adjusted to meet overall festival needs. Please be open and flexible.
Expectations & Benefits:
- Available to work a minimum of one 6-hour shift or two non-consecutive 6-hour shifts
- One 6-hour shift grants you access to the festival the day of
- Two 6-hour shifts grants you access to the festival on the days you are scheduled
- Must attend one required orientation
- Tuesday, Aug 26 at 6:00 PM
- Saturday, Aug 30 at 10:00 AM
- A meal and refreshments will be provided during every shift
Please note: You may not sign up for more than one shift per day. However, you are welcome to sign up for one shift on two separate days, based on the shift times available for your volunteer type (general volunteer, community/college volunteers, etc.). Volunteering for one shift grants you access to the festival on that day. If you volunteer for two shifts on separate days, you’ll receive access for both days.
GENERAL VOLUNTEERS
Who Can Sign Up:
- Returning MATI volunteers
- First-time volunteers 18+
- Community members who love music and want to support St. Louis’ local culture
Available Shifts:
- Friday, Sept 12: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday, Sept 13: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND CORPORATE VOLUNTEERS
Who Can Sign Up:
- Nonprofits, civic organizations, youth groups, and corporations
Available Shifts:
- Friday, Sept 12: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Saturday, Sept 13: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday, Sept 14: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday, Sept 14: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Important Note:
You cannot sign up as a group; each individual interested in volunteering on behalf of your organization must submit a separate Community Partner Volunteer application. If someone wants to volunteer independently, they should complete the General Volunteer form.

COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY VOLUNTEERS
Who Can Sign Up:
- Current students
- Recent alumni
- Campus-based service groups
Available Shifts (Sunday Only):
- Sunday, Sept 14: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday, Sept 14: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Important Note:
You cannot sign up as a group; each individual interested in volunteering on behalf of your institution must submit a separate College Volunteer application. If someone wants to volunteer independently, they should complete the General Volunteer form.
