It has been one year since The Key Burger Bar & Boogie opened its doors at 3225 Olive Street. Created as a pitch-perfect place where the music plays, the game is always on, and the dance floor is open, The Key has become a favorite neighborhood hang and the spot for pre- and post-game celebrations and watch parties for CITY, Billkens, Blues and Cardinals fans. With two unique spaces under one roof, The Key offers something for everyone.
Since opening, the fast-casual Burger Bar has grown a loyal fan base for its delectable smashburgers made from pasture centric sustainable beef from Price Family Farms; along with its hand cut specialty fries and house-made specialty sauces—all available for in-house dining or takeout. And don’t forget the cocktails! If you like your burgers with a side of jazz, The Key has partnered with its Grand Center neighbor Jazz St. Louis to bring a weekly Jazz Jam series to the Burger Bar every Thursday from 9-11 p.m.
Over the past year, The Boogie has hosted a regular rotation of the region’s favorite party and dance bands each weekend, as well as special events and private parties, becoming yet another beloved venue for fans and musicians alike. It has also become a home for weekly dance classes and socials that draw in dancers of all levels.
The Key hosts two different line dancing classes on Wednesday evenings: Slide with Indy on the first and third Wednesday of each month and Country Line Dancing with Mabee Fitness on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. For something spicier, Thursday evenings offer Infinite Bachata classes and Forro Dance Nights (third Thursday of the month). Dance classes are followed by dance socials where participants can put their learning into practice on one of the largest dance floors in the city. For those who prefer to rock the microphone, The Key hosts Monday Night Karaoke weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 with Grace Herbek of STL Red Carpet Entertainment.
“We are thrilled to have created such a vibrant, active and welcoming space for visitors and locals alike—especially our neighbors who live and work in Grand Center and Midtown, SLU and Harris Stowe students, and fans heading down to catch a game at Chaifetz, Energizer Park, Enterprise Center or Busch Stadium,” said KAF Executive Director Chris Hansen. “We invite everyone to celebrate this milestone with us and enjoy great food, cold drinks, sports, live music and dancing. There will be much more to come for The Key in 2027.”
In honor of its one year anniversary, The Key will offer the following food and drink specials:
The Big Poppa: Double beef patty, pepperjack, hickory smoked bacon, roasted jalapenos, southwest jalapeno popper filling with creamy jalapeno lime sauce on a Fazios bun.
$15
